I do not wish to belittle the private guard industry nor the people who make their living as private guards.  I have known at least seven guards personally and all of them have performed well.

George Orwell would be amazed that his novel 1984 was actually far behind what really happened to America.  In his book, the cameras the government used to spy on everyone could not see in the dark, so Big Brother could not see what you were doing in a dark room.  In 1984, there were cameras that could actually see in the dark.  Now we even have military gun sites that are compact and can see in total darkness. The police later picked up Juan Vasquez and have held him in jail for charges brought on by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, not murder as I would have thought.  He will be arraigned later so maybe the murder charge will be brought later. Read more »
