The British government announced to the world that they were putting everyone on notice on what views it expects visitors to have by making public a list of names of people that are banned from entering England. The list includes, for the most part, really evil people; some are in prison in Russia and others are well-known terrorists.

I can see why any government would want to ban terrorists.  Six of the names were not made public, and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said it was not in the public interest to reveal these names.  My read on the secrecy is that there may be some heads of state or other high-profile world leaders.

A “regional approach” to gun trafficking was already tried by Bloomberg when he sent out people to buy guns and they “posed” as straw purchasers.  If you or I did that we would be in Federal Prison for 10 years without parole.

The Oakland, CA police chief admitted that the gun buy-back programs did absolutely no good in Oakland.  In fact, guns turned in were destroyed and not even tested to see if thay were used in any murders.  This was applauded by the Oakland gangs as a way to be able to eliminate evidence that could be used against them.

The Obama administration spent $328,835 on pictures of Air Force One and two fighter jets flying low over the roofs of New York City.  Initially, the administration said the pictures would be used for visiting guests and signed by the president.  Today, the New York Post reported:

“We have no plans to release them,” an aide to President Obama told The Post, refusing to comment further.

The filming scared the pants off a few thousand people in NYC since NYC officials failed to notify the public after being notified by the Obama Administration.

With the cuts the administration has done with the military so far and more to come, spending about a third of a million dollars for a photo op seems a waste of our taxes.

Since the public has paid for this, I think we should be able to see them.

Do you notice the total silence of environmental groups?  I would think they would be up in arms (figuratively, since most of these liberals are anti-gun) over the greenhouse gasses released and also the use of jet fuel which is made from that “blood for oil” petroleum that Bush went to war to obtain.

The Democratic nomination for Manhattan district attorney, Richard M. Aborn, is starting off his run for office by taking an old page from the Democrat Play Book: Gun Control.

Since New York City is a liberal battlement zone and also a self-declared gun-free zone (translation: target-rich environment) all crime is big.  Guns, knives, pipes, baseball bats and even strangulation by bare hands and garrotes are all weapons of death.  Even cars are used as murder weapons.  Rapes, robberies and other violent crimes are high.

A big huff blew in from Afghanistan with a report that United States Soldiers were converting Muslims in that country.  I see that it could cause a ruckus in a country that makes conversion to Christianity a crime punishable by death.

Reuters reported that Bibles printed in local dialects were seen at an American military base.  It turns out that a soldier’s church at home sent the Bibles to him.

Assault on Criminals, Not Assault Weapons

The tip came in on a Monday: A gun was stashed in a house on 21st Street in Irvington.

The next day, police got a search warrant and confiscated a loaded, military-style assault rifle illegally modified for automatic fire.

“That’s a big .223 round that will go through you and everybody else lined up,” Sgt. Peter Burgess told officers during a recent roll call at Irvington police headquarters.

Since the New Jersey Real-Time News (New Jersey has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation) had this story, I expected this to be heavily anti-gun and a supporting article for more restrictive gun laws.

This story was just ripe for picking up the megaphone and yelling about assault rifles.

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

New Jersey, being a liberal state, is loaded with crime experts that will testify all day and night ad infinitum that the guns are killing people.  I personally have never seen a gun kill someone all on its own, but I would venture to bet that no one else has, despite the rhetoric to the contrary.

Irvington Police Director Joe Santiago, known for being a Dirty Harry type of straight-shooting policeman, and statewide director of anti-gang and gun initiatives Jose Cordero have taken the crime bull by the ba…, er, horns and decided to try something new: they are actually going after the criminals!  Imagine that – a director of gun initiatives in a liberal state going after the people who are pulling the triggers.

The ever-present politically correct liberals ensconced in our country’s departments have been calling the Mexican Swine Flu the H1N1 Flu.  I guess they do not want to offend Mexico, but this particular strain was unique to Mexico until it spread to a human and then to the rest of the world.  It would also offend Muslims if they were told they had the Swine Flu.

I had predicted that President Obama would be replacing a judge or two on the Supremes, but I have been totally blindsided by Justice David Souter announcing his retirement.  Justices usually stay on the bench for life and only death or a severe case of Alzheimer’s would unseat them.  In my humble observances there may be a couple of early on-set liberal victims still on the bench, but that is just my own supposition.

Senator Arlen Specter announced he was changing parties and is now a Democrat.  I am originally a Pennsylvanian and I say good riddance.

He has been a prophesy to his last name as far as the Republican Party is concerned: ghost, apparition and phantom.  Very rarely has he supported the Republicans and even rarer has he supported anything even remotely downright conservative.

Take the confined space box that is considered torture by the Democrats: a detainee is placed in and they are prevented from moving too much.  It is very much like a coffin.  There are quite a few people in San Francisco that pay a lot of money to have that done to them; just visit the erotic ball held there and see for yourself.  You have to have a warped mind if you call this torture.

As an added attraction just add a fuzzy non-poisonous caterpillar that tickles you as it walks up and down your body.  This is an extra $100.  You will be charged $200 if you accidentally squash the caterpillar.
