What will work against a mob is a nice semiautomatic Bushmaster in .223 or larger caliber. Yes, I am talking about those EVIL, black firearms that the uninformed legislators like to call assault rifles.
My mind still sees that Korean shop keeper in the middle of a riot with stores burning all around him standing with such a firearm. Amazing the mob left his shop alone as well as the shops near his. Read more »

Oakland, like just about every other major city in the United States is run by a liberal/progressive political machine. It is also in debt because the machine is spending more than it can steal from it’s citizens.
It would seem to me that they would first cut back or eliminate duplicate and non essential services. Common sense would tell you to keep essential services running, like schools, fire and police.
In their infinite liberal wisdom, Oakland is eliminating 10% of its police force!
In a city that laid claim at times to the top ten murder rates, that is the last thing you want to do. In fact, if economic times get much worse you will need more police. Read more »
Maybe we should start boiling our officials who ignore the constitution in a cauldron for allowing Calderon to address the united States Congress.

The last time I checked our government documents we were a republic. We vote for people to represent us and hopefully they listen to us and run the government according to our wishes. Read more »
The liberals have always stated if you put in place gun control laws that prevent citizens from carrying guns for self defense and even outlaw them completely, you will have safe gun-free cities.
So take Washington, D. C. with is draconian gun laws that just about eliminate the ability to have a gun in your house, let alone defend yourself with it outside your home. Read more »

Yes, you heard me, Arizona has never been a target-rich zone, at least not in the past few years.
I was out in Phoenix a couple of years ago for the Gun Rights Policy Conference and never felt safer. Everywhere I looked there were people carrying firearms in holsters; in the restaurants, on the streets, at the ATM machines and even in the banks. Read more »
Chicago, Illinois, the home of Barack Obama and liberal gun banners, has always had a high murder rate by guns. Every time there are more shootings, they pass more restrictive gun laws until they outright banned them.
The Supreme Court recently heard the case against their ban and should decide shortly. Read more »

Yes, it is true that more guns mean less crime. The opposite is also true less guns means more crime.
I have said it so much that it sounds like an endless tape loop. Prohibit guns and you get a target-rich environment for criminals. Read more »
Now that I have solved the profiling problem by providing a tried and proven method, we need to fix the on-board security. I noticed that all of the foiled terrorist attempts against airplanes were not stopped by any government involvement. It was freedom-loving United States citizens that nipped these attempts. I have been able to confirm this. A person who actually saw the pictures and details of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s underwear confirmed the following: 1) The underwear contained enough explosive, that when properly detonated in the right position could bring down an airplane. 2) The position of the burned section of the underwear would have probably been undetectable. Let me put this delicately; this terrorist’s girlfriend might have been able to tell the slight difference between reality and what the scanner showed. 3) The only way to have detected the bomb would have been a very thorough physical pat-down of the genital area or a first-hand visual examination of the underwear itself. Take Richard Reid, the shoe bomber that was foiled by alert passengers and was single-handedly responsible for all the extra time and money that requires all people to remove their shoes before getting into the secure area of the airport. He certainly looked like a person who should have been looked at with a fine microscope before he boarded that airplane. No one checked. Read more »
