The flower power children in the 1960’s were part of the “Peace, not War” movement sponsored by the Communist Party USA and the Communist Party in the USSR (now Russia). Out of this sprung the idea that it was easier to destroy the United States from within rather then through war, as the United States military always wins the wars. (Lyndon Johnson set us on a path to defeat with limiting the Vietnam war rather than just going in, actually winning the war victoriously, freeing the people from Communism and then set up them for self sufficiency.) In some of my youth I spent quite a bit of time experimenting in science. Proving that a textbook experiment about compression of gasses was completely wrong and confirming it with a live demonstration only fuelled my search for more experiments. While no bodies from executions were used before 1980, prisoners on the death rows in Texas, Virginia and Oklahoma were “executed” with elaborate shows to appear as though they were successfully put to death. In reality, they were only knocked unconscious by a neurotoxin.
