Ray Stevens comes out with a list of reasons to come to America.  You should do it legally.

I just have to pass this on because besides being humorous, it does expose (no pun intended) a flaw in how our government currently handles immigration as compared to how our forefathers treated it.  Enjoy!

The latest telephone poll taken by the Arizona Governor’s office asked whether people who live in  Arizona think illegal immigration is a serious problem:

29% responded, “Yes, it is a serious problem.”

71% responded, “No es una problema serio.”

I wonder what the percentages would be in California?

Los Angeles looks like a sinner to me. Refusing to obey the civil laws, such as the current federal immigration laws is sinful.

I wan to preface this with a statement that I am not against immigrants.  In fact, immigration is what made the United States so great.  In fact, my family cane over here in the 1800’s and played a part in continuing the to make this country better.

The secret to this was that everyone became Americans, learned the language and adopted the customs.  Yes, they also kept the customs of their heritage, but America became a true “melting pot” where everyone added to the strength of the country. Read more »

The British government announced to the world that they were putting everyone on notice on what views it expects visitors to have by making public a list of names of people that are banned from entering England. The list includes, for the most part, really evil people; some are in prison in Russia and others are well-known terrorists.

I can see why any government would want to ban terrorists.  Six of the names were not made public, and Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said it was not in the public interest to reveal these names.  My read on the secrecy is that there may be some heads of state or other high-profile world leaders.
