I was walking the whole week and wondering what to do for the Independence Day celebration that would be meaningful. I was thinking of going into a store and taking a whole shelf of tea and throwing it into the Guadalupe River and running, but I have a feeling that the San Jose Police and the Sunnyvale police would not immediately understand the significance of my First Amendment action. A few days ago, Michelle Obama celebrated volunteer day by going to a California school and help plant a vegetable garden. The children are going to be raising the produce and selling it.
While this could be turned into a real “teachable” moment on agriculture and capitalism, the children have been told that the money will be given to the school. The teachers and administration should get an “F” for promoting Marxism. Read more »

General Laney is a tough guy. He hangs on to his rights like a pit bull, although he has a pair of Dobermans that guard his gun shop. He needs them; from a really tough neighborhood where there are more illegal guns right outside his doors than there are legal guns inside. He has been shot six times, but we don’t know about the condition of his attackers. I could venture a guess they are no longer bothering anyone, but I don’t know for sure. Read more »
