Long, long ago, in a land once known as The Land of Opportunity and Freedom, conservative values and respect for the Constitution of the United States were coveted by both the Republican and Democrat Parties. I already hear you libs rumbling out there accusing me of lying about the Democrat Party.
I remind you to look at the most revered Democrat ever, John F. Kennedy. His famous “Ask not what your country can do for you…” speech encouraged people to ask what they could do for their country, and he did not mean pay more taxes. He meant self sufficiency and working instead of mooching out of the government trough.
John F. Kennedy cut taxes in times of monetary need and surprise, surprise, surprise; the United States Treasury collected a record-setting amount of tax dollars. Ronald Reagan did the same thing and had the same results: record revenue by the Treasury.
Over the last forty years, the Democrat Party has been taken over by the Communists Senator McCarthy warned us about. They moved so far to the left they successfully managed to create a “new” political center quite far to the left of where it was originally.
This new center made the liberals that were not willing to support Marxism pariahs and they lost support of the now-hijacked Democrat Party. Unable to win reelection, their replacements ran as “centrist” Republicans which, in reality are foxes in sheep’s clothing. We call them by another name: RINOs.
