Secret Government Project – Part 2 of 4

The mouse could see and could also move its front legs.  With just a head and arms, the amount of nutrition to keep the third of a mouse alive was considerably less.  Thus it looked like there was another way to transport an animal with a minimal food supply.  More successes in the animal world led the government scientists to move forward and start to plan trials on a human body.

The first experiments were carried out by removing the heads from corpses of unidentified indigents who froze on the streets of some of the major cities.  No more than one body a year from each of the selected cities (Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, Denver and Minneapolis) was taken as not to arouse suspicions.

The heads were then connected up to a circulating blood source which was continuously cleaned and oxygenated.  Liquid nutrients were added and the skin tissue was kept alive for months.  The hair continued to grow to lengths of up to 3 feet long before the project was put on hold in September of 1979.

On December 30, 1976, the project was revived and by 1980 success was achieved in as much as the skin tissue was in great shape with good color and hair was growing.  The year 1976 was significant, as executions were again started in the United States by a Supreme Court Ruling.
