SPAM – Part 2

……….SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM……… SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM……… SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM……… SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM………

Yes, that SPAM which is vilified in the press and other places.  The Anti-SPAM crowd gathers torches and pitch forks to pay nightly visits to the SPAM people.  Cries of “Fry Them! Fry Them!” break the stillness of the night where even the crickets dare not chirp.

A couple of weeks ago, the Feds (yes, they occasionally do something right) busted a huge SPAM syndicate that was rumored to be the largest SPAM operation in the world, (next to Hormel, of course).  Hurricane Electric cooperated with the Feds and froze the sites that were being used for this SPAM operation.

Before you start sending nasty email to me that would make a sailor blush, let me tell you, I was not one of the SPAM sites.  The SPAMMER’s friends started to push tremendous amounts of traffic to all of Hurricane Electric’s IP Addresses (for those libs in Bezerkeley, IP Addresses are like your mailing address 123 Anywhere Street, etc., that is used so you can find your favorite cum-by-ya web and ecco-terrorist web sites) which had the affect of bringing down the sites hosted by the aforementioned ISP.

If you cannot connect the dots, or if you failed stick figure art in grade school, let me help you.  Hurricane Electric hosts the company that takes care of the techie thingies for my web site so I can just take care of my posting.  I also get the site managed for free (well, just about free as I babysit the 1/3 rack of equipment remotely once a year for a friend.

So: Spammers……. Hurricane_Electric……. Friends_attack…….. freds_ISP_attacked………. fredhoot.com_out_of_commission.  How is that for connecting the dots?

I hate SPAM.
