People who are entrusted with our nations secrets should keep them. Employees of the CIA, FBI, NSA and other such agencies come across very sensitive information that if disclosed can cause death to people or disastrous results for our country in internal and international affairs.
Take for instance the newspaper in New York that broke the waterboarding story as torture. Soon after the story broke, inmates in Gitmo somehow received information on how waterboarding worked as practiced in Gitmo and how to resist it. They found out that you couldn’t really drown. All of a sudden no more information could be retrieved with this technique.
Remember: one of the most dangerous and ferocious Al Qaeda members, sung like a bird for years giving us a wealth of information about Al Qaeda’s world-wide operations. Probably soon after a meeting with his lawyer, he suddenly stopped chirping.
Everyone who was involved in breaking that story should have been tried as traitors and then hung or shot by a firing squad if found guilty. They would have been during WWI of WWII.
William Mark Felt, Sr. was an FBI agent entrusted with many of America’s secrets (The United States of America, not the global North and South America for the edification of those libs in Berkeley). He leaked information that resulted in some foreign relations problems that directly resulted in the deaths of some Americans in South America.
The fact that a President of the United States (Richard M. Nixon) resigned over this leak is not as important as the American lives that were lost. It was that fact that Agent Felt played politics with the information. Murdering American citizens who are serving their country because of personal political feelings is traitorous.
Yes, Agent Felt was the infamous Deep Throat that leaked all that information that made the Watergate hotel a part of every person’s vocabulary. Some of that leaked information also unraveled the string around a can of worms (how is that for a descriptive bunch of words) that was best left undisturbed.
Well, God will have to judge traitor William Mark “Deep Throat” Felt, Sr. and determine where he spends eternity as he just died yesterday at his home.
