Some People Do Not Have The Slightest Idea Of Who They Are Voting For

Vote For Me!

Radio shock jock Howard Stern performed a great public service for all Americans.  He showed how misinformed or just plain uninformed voters can be.
He sent someone into Harlem, NY and asked them if they supported Obama.  If he received a “yes” he asked if they supported Obama’s policies.  When the answer was yes, the person was asked if they supported Obama’s position on supporting pro-life and staying in the Iraq war and anti-stem cell research.  Invariably they said yes.

They even said yes when asked if Sarah Palin, Obama’s running mate, would do a good job as VP, they also said yes!  In fact all of McCain’s policy positions when presented as Obama’s were agreed to by the unsuspecting people.
I think this is really sad that some people are voting and they do not have the slightest idea of what they are voting for.

Sean Hannity does a “man on the street” interview that shows people, including college students, do not know who the current Vice President or Secretary of State is.  This proves that Harlem does not have a lock on the uninformed.

Now I agree that Howard probably did not play all the people who caught on to his method of questioning.  It would be interesting to know what percentage of people he questioned provided such a look into the uninformed.  We could also go into very poor white areas and get the same results.  Heck, I would venture to say that we could also find a few in Berkeley.

Maybe we should require people pass a test before they are allowed to vote:

Who are the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates for the two major parties that are running?  Name just one thing that the Democrat Party supports.  Name just one thing that the Republican Party supports.  Who are the current President and Vice President?
