Imagine answering your door to find two gentlemen wearing earpieces who flash their Secret Service badges and want to have a talk with you. That’s what happened to Jessica Hughes. She was asked if she said “I will never support Obama and he will wind up dead on a hospital floor.” This is not a very happy way to start (or even end) your day.
The Secret Service Agents are bound to protect Presidents and Presidential nominees, even sacrificing their lives as Timothy J McCarthy nearly did when he stepped into the gunshots directed at President Reagan. They are really, really, really tough.
An unidentified Obama volunteer decided to twist (or was too …you supply the word… to completely understand Jessica’s words. (Remember the reports of Clinton’s staff using cocaine in the White House.)
What Jessica said was “No, I don’t support him. Your guy is a socialist who voted four times in the state Senate to let little babies die in hospital closets; I think you should find something better to do with your time.”
Now, I usually do not like being rude to people, but being registered as a Republican and getting a call from a Democrat asking you to help out their socialist candidate become the next President might just set you off a little bit.
