Alan Gottlieb pointed out that all candidates running in this election cycle have changed their public presentation on Gun Rights. Joe Waldron, the legislative director for the Citizens Committee to Keep and Bear Arms echoed this observation and added “..he is a $5,000 empty suit!” He also pointed out that you have to be involved in politics in order to keep the Second Amendment alive.
Obama, who told Dr. John Lott that no one should be able to own a gun, now is claiming to support the Second Amendment, dependant on “sensible” gun laws. Joe Biden, hi VP running mate and a staunch supporter of gun control for all of his many years in congress, now touts his Benelli shotgun and claims to hunt. It is interesting that he tried to ban the very gun he owns.
Our next President will get to appoint our ambassador to the United Nations which will pay for (with mostly US taxpayer funds, I might add) a world-wide ban on private gun ownership. This is exactly what the dictators, despots and tyrants of the UN want. If the citizens (subjects in socialist countries) in Darfur had weapons there would not have been over 300,000 of lives taken through genocide.
